Going Travelling with the right person

Choose your travel companions wisely. It's becoming very apparent to me that the most impacting and important subject in your life when planning a backpacking trip are the relationships with the people going with you and the support around you.

I'm always amazed by the amount of people who go out and talk to somebody and they say  "I'd love to travel do you want to go with me?" and the person they're talking to says "yeah, that's awesome, lets go".

They head out together with the dream of going somewhere, but with no understanding of each others morals, or lifestyles, standard of living, or anything like that, and it all ends up in a big drama scene and most of the time is spent focusing on the relationship that's not working, rather than focusing on where they are, the culture of the country and the experience itself.

When your travelling, consider this. Don't get caught up with the idea of travelling with somebody somewhere. Instead make sure that you're travelling with the right person.
